Summer is FINALLY here! Now you're probably wondering how do I maintain that amazing nekawa glow?

Shea butter has so many amazing benefits that it can be used year-round. If you are anything like me, you too are guilty of spending extra time in the sun, forgetting to put on sunscreen, and sometimes turning awfully sunburnt. 

Whether you're spending extra time going on hikes, taking long walks, or spending some time at the beach, Nekawa Butter to the rescue!

The Nekawa butter’s main base of shea butter helps to reduce inflammation in the skin. Inflammation typically occurs when you are exposed to the sun for too long without protection on your skin such as sunscreen or other sun protectants. Alongside helping with inflammation, shea butter contains natural SPF between 6 and 10. Here is how our other ingredients help to protect your skin this summer, while still allowing you to have a natural glow:  

  • Avocado oil – provides protection to the skin with an SPF as high as 15
  • Rosehip Oil- Can help to prevent the “leathery” look of spending excessive time in the sun. This is due to the vitamins in the oil which promote cell regeneration.
  • Aloe Vera- works well to block out about 20% of sunlight
  • Castor Oil- Contains an SPF of about 6 and penetrates deep into the skin to help moisturize and protect the skin.
